*Each sculpture is made to order in a limited run of 3-5 figures for 2009. Please allow 2-4 weeks for completion.
How it works:
1). Fill out attached order form or download from our website: www.friendlyfigures.blogspot.com as a word document and email to: friendlyfigures@hotmail.com or mail to enclosed address.
2). Send in or email a minimum of 2-3 photos of your favorite pet from front and side angles if possible.
3). (optional!) If desired, the artist can meet you and your pet in person at a park or other desired area. This personal visitation of your pet by the artist will further enhance the final product.
That’s it! After sending email or phone confirmation of your commission our artist will create an original one of a kind rendering of your furry friend.
Each commissioned Friendly figure is a one time payment of $300.00 (US) - not bad for an original piece of art in the likeness of your best friend!
About the process:
Sculptures are created in plasticene clay and then fired so that they become solid. Afterwards, they are hand painted with a variety of acrylic paints. These are miniatures standing approx 4-6 inch tall and long depending on the pose of subject. Larger pieces can be requested at added cost.
This is a one of a kind, original piece of art. No copies are made. No pre-made sculpture or parts are used in the creation of this piece. Please allow 2-4 weeks for creation and delivery.
About the artist: Jonathan Payne is a traditional and digital sculptor/painter living in the San Fernando valley. He works in the post production film industry by day and enjoys a nice quiet life with his lovely fiancée Lacie and his French Bulldog Hugo Babe.
